Auburn University Autonomous Vehicle Research Facility
This 2,900-square-foot research facility is one of only a few of its kind in the nation. It includes a garage with two bays and lifts, combined office and conference space, and an observation area overlooking the National Center for Asphalt Technology 1.7-mile test track.
The facility will aid researchers in the Samuel Ginn College of Engineering’s GPS and Vehicle Dynamics Laboratory, or GAVLAB. Research is centered on three areas: sensor fusion/integration, online system identification and adaptive control techniques and their application to vehicle dynamics and transportation.
