Job Opening – Architect
Chambless King Architects is an award-winning architecture firm focused on connecting people and communities through thoughtful design, craftsmanship, and care. Our team is committed to providing quality architecture and comprehensive service for projects across the southeast.
We are currently accepting applications for an architect to join our Montgomery or Birmingham, Alabama office. The successful candidate will thrive in a design-focused and highly collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
Lead the design and documentation of building interiors from conceptual design through construction, including interior form and space of a building and FF&E
Explore design concepts and constraints in Revit and three-dimensional environments
Produce accurate and thorough technical documentation of a design solution
Manage material library and relationships with material representatives
Lead and contribute to the design team and creative process
Attend and actively participate in project team and client meetings
Travel to project sites, as required
Requirements
Flexibility to balance multiple, complex projects in various stages of development
Ability to perform work independently and collaboratively within a project team
Strong graphic, technical, written, and verbal communication skills
High attention to detail and organization
Entrepreneurial spirit
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher in architecture or interior architecture
3+ years of relevant experience
Highly proficient in Revit
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite a plus
