Soccer Park

Renovation of the City of Oneonta’s recreation infrastructure is a priority for the city’s new leadership. Chambless King Architects was brought on to ignite the city’s overall plan to bring higher quality recreational opportunities and entertainment to its residents. 

The City of Oneonta Soccer Park is the first phase of a multi-phased renovation and rehabilitation of an existing recreation facility. Once complete, the site can accommodate four youth soccer fields or a full-size soccer and football field, along with a concessions and restroom building. An eight-foot-wide sidewalk runs the perimeter of the site and is landscaped with native grasses and plant materials. Large shade trees will be planted parallel to the eastern edge of the fields and a bioswale retention system will be installed to sustainable manage water runoff.
