The new 167 000-square-feet facility will become Premier Tech's new solution hub for its American-based clients allowing for increased reaction time and a more intimate and closer relationship. This will result in an enhanced customer experience and improved project execution.

Structural testing of building materials takes place inside Auburn University’s Advanced Structural Engineering Laboratory (ASEL) in Auburn, Ala. On the exterior of the building, Chambless King Architects created a design that communicates the structural testing activities taking place internally. Furthermore, in addition to meeting requirements to house the testing facilities themselves, the firm highlighted the building’s structure by exposing it.

Sunday evening, Decatur Mayor Tab Bowling shared on Facebook that developers are working on plans for a new riverside development near Ingalls Harbor.

The project is under development by Patrick Lawler, who built Guntersville’s City Harbor. City Harbor is home to restaurants, stores, and boat slips. City leaders in Guntersville say the development is a major economic driver.

Bowling believes similar development would be a hub for economic development in Decatur.

“Developments that are on the river in this nature have a little bit of pop to them. It also adds a cool factor to them as well,” he said.

A formal opening and celebration of the Montgomery Interpretive Center (MIC) at Alabama State University will be held on March 26 at 3:00 p.m.

The event will be held at the Montgomery Interpretive Center, located on the University campus in front of The ASU Stadium on the corner of Harris Way and North University.

The MIC celebrates Montgomery’s storied history of the famous 1965 Selma to Montgomery March that helped obtain voting rights for black citizens.

For the first time, there’s going to be actual athletic activity at the Etowah County Mega Sports Complex in Rainbow City.

The complex on Saturday will host the Northeast Alabama Soccer Officials’ annual training event, according to a news release from Greater Gadsden Area Tourism.
